8 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch and 15 inch traffic sign aluminum sheets made of 1060 alloy are commonly used to manufacture traffic signs.
1060 aluminum alloy is a commercially pure aluminum grade known for its excellent formability, high corrosion resistance and good electrical conductivity. It is a suitable choice for traffic sign applications. Commonly used standard sizes for aluminum traffic sign plates are 8 inches (203 mm), 10 inches (254 mm), 12 inches (305 mm), and 15 inches (381 mm) in diameter. H18 represents the full hard state, which provides higher strength and stiffness. Aluminum disks typically have a milled finish, which is a smooth and shiny surface produced by the rolling process. They can also be further processed or coated with reflective material to increase visibility and meet traffic sign requirements.
The 1060 H18 aluminum alloy used for traffic signs has good corrosion resistance and can withstand harsh natural environments such as rain, direct sunlight, and hurricanes without fading.
